Quaker Oats became the first registered trademark for a breakfast cereal in 1877. Founders William Heston and Henry Seymour selected the Quaker name as a symbol of good quality and honest value. Since their founding, their unique method of milling, cutting, steaming, and flaking has given Quaker Oats that special, telltale toasted-nutty flavour.
Each variety of Quaker Oats are whole grains that supply all parts of the oat grain including the bran, endosperm and germ. The difference in size and shape of the oats only affects the cooking time and texture.
